Gentle Flow Yoga

Focusing on strength and flexibility through deep stretching, this dynamic slow-moving class uses gentle poses to deepen a yoga practice by linking breath to movement and encouraging relaxation. It can also be helpful for people recovering from injuries or surgery, or who have joint replacements and need to explore postures slowly and carefully. Gentle yoga is particularly good for balancing digestive issues due to its slow, rhythmic movement that soothes and relaxes the nervous system. It can also improve sleep patterns if practiced regularly. An excellent class for beginners or for any yogi looking to calm the mind and body.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

A dynamic and creative flow through a sequence of poses that connect each inhale and exhale to movement. A faster-paced and energizing class that focuses on stamina, strength, and the breath. You can expect the class to begin with gentler movements to warm up the body, making your way up to standing which leads to a challenging pose (or peak pose). Class typically ends with slower, deeper stretches on the floor. Considered a moving meditation that leaves the body feeling looser, lighter, and more relaxed. Some benefits of a consistent Vinyasa yoga practice can include: improved cardiovascular health, weight loss, strengthened the immune system, increased mobility and range of motion, enhanced mood and sleep patterns, and reduced stress, anxiety, and depression. Each Vinyasa class is unique, no two are the same. A heart-pumping class accommodated for all levels.

Yin Yoga

A slow, passive, and meditative practice that targets deep connective tissues such as the fascia, ligaments, and joints. In this practice, floor poses will be held for 3-5 minutes helping to stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues, as well as open up any blockages to release energy so that it can flow freely within the body. This quiet practice gives you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body through stillness. Yin yoga is the opposite of yang yoga which targets the muscles such as Vinyasa and is a great balance to intense exercises such as HIIT, Pilates, Spin, etc. It helps to lengthen connective tissue, release fascia, increase flexibility, boost circulation, and reduce stress levels. This class is encouraged for all practice levels and suitable for anyone dealing with injuries or chronic conditions such as arthritis. You can expect to use props during this practice and notice a lower body temperature.
