What our clients say about Method….

  • At 38 years old working night shift with a husband and four kids, I don’t know what I would do without my gym time at Method. It keeps me balanced mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am in the best all around shape I have ever been in and I am forever grateful for the role Method has played in helping get me here!

    — Michelle M.

  • I have been taking Pilates with Michelle on and off since 2015. I came to Method when she moved her studio, and honestly I would follow her anywhere! She knows her clients on an individual level and works hard to help us reach our maximum fitness potential. I take PilatesSWEAT three times per week and my body knows when I skip! Pilates has increased my flexibility and strength, and it has also eliminated my tension headaches and other aches and pains. I love the muscle tone I’m building, but more than that, I love the overall health that Pilates promotes. If I could use one word to describe the atmosphere at Method, it would be incredible! The trainers and other clients are so supportive, there’s no competition (unless it’s friendly!), and I look forward to each class. I’m thankful for Method and for all the people there and look forward to coming back for years to come!”

    — Tara R.

  • I decided to give Method a try after repeatedly seeing other clients post about their workouts and successes and I’m so glad I did! I started out taking Sculpt & Flow but now I have added HIIT, Circuit, Pilates and I add in Barre when my schedule allows. I recently completed some private sessions with Michelle to work on some post partum issues and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They have been a game changer. For the first time since having Jonah, I feel strong and confident in my body and skin and I owe most of it to the instructors AND the other clients at Method. Everyone is so supportive, but we also love a little friendly competition :) I actually look forward to waking up and going to my 5:30am classes. We truly are our own little family!

  • “Growing up I was an athlete and involved in sports year round. In school, I was always on a schedule, told when to practice, and held accountable. Once adulthood and married life set in I wasn’t sure how to make my health a priority. It has been a struggle, on and off for 5 years now, for me to find an exercise regimen I actually liked. With my hectic schedule absolutely nothing ever stuck! UNTIL METHOD!!! I am currently doing Monday-Friday early morning classes with Rachel and Sarah, Saturday classes when I can, and would love to venture into pilates in the near future! I am the furthest thing from a morning person you will find. That, on top of my work schedule, gave me justification for not making the time to workout. I “get home too late” and “I don’t want to get sweaty at lunch” were always my go to excuses. I always wanted to have a workout routine, but never knew how to make the time. I kept seeing all these girls on my social media going to classes and people running in my neighborhood before work. I finally decided if they could make the time then so could I! That’s when I took the plunge to wake up early for a Sculpt and Flow class with Sarah! AND LET ME JUST TELL YOU… I have not looked back since! There is nothing like the atmosphere coming into the early A.M. classes with Sarah and Rachel to get you motivated to start the day. All of the clients are so awesome and welcoming….and competitive 😂 (friendly competition is so motivating). It is like one big family! One client, Liz, has even started doing bible studies before classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Dedicating just 15 minutes before class to do a devotional and talk with other women has changed the way I start my days completely. I can honestly say because of Method I am a healthier person physically, mentally, and spiritually. 💕Oh, and a morning person!

  • I joined Method the second week of moving to Somerset Ky. Why did I want to join Method? It was more than the fact that I loved the classes they offered….It was about meeting other people in my community and finding my group of people! The ones I would see every day and do life with. My gym people are like my family. All of the Method girls have taken me under their wings and welcomed me with open arms. I feel like I have known them a lot longer than just one week. I love all of the classes, and I can’t wait to try the Pilates class more. If you’re looking for a place that will not judge you, this is your place. It’s a judgement free zone. Doesn’t matter if you’re just starting a fitness journey or have been doing fitness your whole life. They will encourage you and be your biggest cheerleaders. So glad I found Method.

  • I have always loved working out in a class environment! I feel I push myself harder and love the interaction with other people within the classes! Method is simply amazing! It has such a wide variety of classes, that you could take a different class everyday, and for me that’s a game changer! My husband and I own Vintage Bleu by Brittany. We are like every other working family, our time is limited. When Michelle and Sarah reached out to have us build a custom desk for Method, we were able to get a first hand look at this beautiful space! I remember telling Michelle “I would love to try a class, but I’m not sure when I would fit it in. That I’m not a 5:30 a.m. person who’s works out.” Well turns out that’s exactly what I am. I try and get in 3-4 early morning workouts each week. I think I have tried every class and I absolutely love them all but Sarah’s HITT class is one of my favorites. I always end each class with a 30 minute session in the Infrared Sauna. It’s one of the best parts of my day. The staff is so supportive, sweet and encouraging! If you are on the fence, I encourage you to try out any of the classes. ❤️

  • Jason and I have been working out for several years. Jason has always preferred weight lifting and I enjoy running. Method began offering group fitness classes and I was wanting to add strength training to my routine. I have tried Sculpt and Flow, Barre, and Sweat Circuit. I have loved all of the classes and instructors. Method has became my one stop shop, offering a variety of group fitness classes early in the morning. Most recently, I have tried PilatesReform and PilatesSweat! I would describe Pilates as a combination of strength training and yoga with a focus on core. Pilates has been a great way to cross train and decrease risk of injury from my marathon training. Jason has been taking the 5:30am Mens Pilates class and has really enjoyed it. He likes Pilates because it is challenging, low impact, increases flexibility, and targets a variety of muscle groups.

  • Method is for everyone. It challenges, accommodates, motivates. Method works. For me, it was vital to find a fitness studio offering early morning classes. Working out early fits into my schedule and allows me to start my day in a positive way. The Method classes are varied in design and type. I have taken several different types of classes at Method from different instructors and each class challenged me to push myself - in a good way! The instructors are positive and motivating. Since starting at Method I definitely can say I am stronger and more flexible than I have been in a long time. The atmosphere at Method is also on point. Lighting is dim for those early morning sessions, the music flows with the type of workout session, and the studio is clean and bright. An added bonus at Method is the sauna. Whether you use it for relaxation or weight loss, it’s conveniently located in the studio. My husband recently used the Sauna at Method to help him cut weight for a combat Jiu Jitsu match and enjoyed the entire sauna experience. Method is the perfect place for anyone seeking a friendly, encouraging fitness studio. There’s something here for everyone!

  • Method has been such a blessing to me personally on so many levels. I was invited a little over a year ago to a class and fell in love with the energy and environment. Since early morning workouts work best for me and my family it was a perfect fit. I am constantly encouraged to try new classes and push myself. Each instructor brings a fresh take to their class and gets to know the needs of clients to help us reach our goals. The best part is the people, from the instructors that always are motivating me to do my best, to the ladies in class that inspire me to keep going, everyone is welcoming and encouraging. I have loved getting an early morning start to the day at method. It is a positive atmosphere where growth and friendships can flourish!

  • What did I do before Method Studio?! Absolutely nothing I could stick to! I have always been overwhelmed by large gyms, bright lights and inexperience & working out at home made it too easy to quit. I can say without a doubt that coming to Method Studio the very first time had me addicted from Day 1. It truly helps you to learn to work from your own core & body strength. I thought I was a strong lady before joining Method because I lift alot of furniture and heavy merchandise throughout my day, however, I found that I'm not as strong as I thought and I've learned how to position, align, and form my body properly through Pilates that helps me not get injured while lifting furniture. I started coming to Pilates Sweat Reformer a couple days a week and now I have tried other classes as well and I am truly addicted! I have never had more energy or felt better in my entire life & my body is really taking well to the workouts. If you are looking for a mellow, calm, relaxing environment where you can really focus on your body movements and gaining true core strength- come join us at Method! The instructors are all amazing, talented, helpful and motivating! If you're looking for something you love & easy to commit to- this is the place for you!

  • I’m always my best self when I’m exercising regularly. However, last few years have been difficult to fit in working out along with a full time teaching career and single parenting four busy kids. Sarah didn’t give up encouraging me to come to class, and I felt better when I could randomly fit it in. At the end of 2021 my spirits were low and I knew I needed to quit the excuses and commit to a routine. My Pilates routine has not only made me feel better physically but also lifted my spirit and energy. I plan on pushing myself to go more often as I continue to enjoy the community and friendships at Method. The environment and quality are like nothing else in Somerset as well as a worthwhile investment in yourself.

  • As someone who has been in gyms from a very young age, weight training has always been my favorite form of exercise. I’ve dipped my toe into some different cardio, hard core workout type training, thinking exhausting my body was what was necessary for my cardiovascular health, but that’s never been my true go-to. I have two teenage daughters and was hesitant to invest in myself by joining Method but Pilates reformer classes have truly been the best thing I’ve done for ME in a very long time. I’ve been going 2-3 times a week for about 3 months now and not only do I look forward to every single class but I get sad when the instructors indicate it’s time to wind down. Pilates reformer is the most pleasant form of exercise I’ve ever experienced and it’s been the best way to strengthen and tone my entire body without putting unnecessary strain on my joints. The dim lights, loud music, incredible instructors, and most importantly focus on proper form are just a few of my favorite things about Method. Recently, both of my daughters have started going to classes as well and they love it as much as I do. It’s a wonderful thing to see your children prioritizing their health at such a young age and for us to get to do it together is an added bonus! Thank you Michelle and Sarah for providing such a wonderful environment in our little town for people to come together to achieve their health goals!

  • Method: the habitual practice of orderliness and regularity. One of the many meanings to the term “method” and the one I relate to most. In the very short time I have been attending classes at Method, I can honestly say that it has created a desire deep within me to have habitual practice of orderliness and regularity in my life. The atmosphere in Method is one that cannot be described with words. I leave feeling energized after every class; however it is not just my body that feels energized but my mind, body and soul! Not only have I seen the benefits of this studio, but my 16 year old son is also reaping those same benefits. He is seeing changes in his body and balance that no other program has given him. He looks forward to attending his Pilates class regularly each week as well. Method Studio has so much to offer-it’s for everyone of all ages!

  • I joined Method earlier this year to help improve my overall core strength. Upon joining I began taking private classes with Sarah. She was so patient and always took the extra time to ensure that I was doing the exercises correctly. After a few sessions, I jumped into group classes which included Pilates sweat, Pilates reform, and Pilates circuit on Saturday mornings. The classes are always fun and the instructors are excellent - patient, friendly, and always willing to make any modifications for anyone. As a working mother of three very busy kids I worried that I wouldn’t be able to commit to taking classes each week, but fortunately Method has a variety of classes available at various times throughout the week which accommodates my hectic schedule. Since taking classes at Method, I feel stronger and more confident. Both of my daughters have begun taking classes this summer and they look forward to going each week. I love that they are excited about creating a healthy lifestyle with sustainable habits. If you are hesitant about trying a class, I encourage you to contact Sarah or Michelle. There is something for everyone at Method!

  • I’m not sure how I navigated life without the Infrared Sauna. As a person who has Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (it is an autoimmune disorder, I am in constant pain in my joints comparable to rheumatoid arthritis) My friend had invited me to a class and afterwards we sat in the sauna, she was telling me of all of the benefits that the sauna offered. I decided to purchase a month of unlimited sauna sessions. This has been a Godsend to me. It has helped ease my joint pain immensely. This is my third month of sitting in the sauna, I typically use it 5-6 times per week. If you suffer from any type of joint pain you need this Infrared Sauna in your life.

  • As a former Division 1 swimmer, I spent 18 years of my life in the pool or the weight room. I had completely lost my love and motivation for fitness. I felt myself getting weaker and weaker. After a tough first pregnancy and labor/delivery, my mother pushed me to try Sarah’s classes at Method. After my first 2 classes…I was hooked on fitness once again. With the help of my mom and Sarah Leigh, I feel strong and confident. For the first time in years, I look forward to my workouts. Method creates that motivating environment that I needed. Sarah has been incredible about pushing my body to a challenging, yet safe limit. I am thankful to my mother, Sarah, and the rest of the women at Method for helping me gain back my love and motivation for fitness. I can’t wait to continue my journey throughout these last 3 months of my pregnancy and really jump into a postpartum recovery.

  • Method A Sweat Studio is an amazing place to workout! It has amazing instructors that truly care about your well being. I have been taking Pilates from Michelle for four years. Pilates has improved my overall well-being from strength and flexibility, to improved posture, toned muscles and improved balance. For the past 7 months I have been taking the strength and toning class from Sarah. Picking up this class has complemented the Pilates! Both classes are great. I forgot another added bonus. My clothes fit great! I really hate it when I have to miss class.

  • After the spring softball season was over, I was looking a program that would help my overall strength and flexibility. That's when I heard about the athletic classes at Method, taught by the incredible Sarah Leigh, and thought I'd try. Our classes were a combination of pilates, barre, spin, and my favorite, the infrared sauna! Not only did we learn the basics of these classes, Sarah also taught us the importance of overall mind/body care, proper nutrition, and rest. The environment is so encouraging and positive! I loved the classes so much that I have continued coming to Method for one of the 5:30am pilates or barre classes. My flexibility, core strength and overall wellness have greatly improved. If you are an athlete looking for additional training or someone who just wants to improve your overall heath look into Method!!

  • I first started taking Pilates reformer classes two years ago when my husband and I moved to Somerset. I quickly fell in love with the low impact workout and the changes I could see in my overall tone, strength, and flexibility! In December, my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our first baby! With hopes of maintaining my pre pregnancy activity level, I started taking pilates classes with Sarah a couple times a week. Sarah made modifications for me throughout my pregnancy to ensure the workouts were safe both for me and baby. Making small adjustments to my positioning and spring weight allowed me to continue taking weekly classes until I was 37 weeks pregnant! I returned to Pilates 6 weeks postpartum with my doctors clearance, and our baby girl in tow! After just a few weeks of classes I am continuing to feel great and can feel my core strength quickly returning! I am so grateful for the encouragement at Method that allowed me to remain active and feel great throughout my first pregnancy!

  • Pilates classes at Method have been a lifesaver for me. I started attending Method in May of this year. I began with the infrared sauna and then added Pilates classes. I have faithfully attended classes 3-6 times per week since. When I say a “lifesaver” I mean I have started feeling so much better as I suffer with Lupus, arthritis, degenerative disc disease and anxiety. My flexibility has improved, my joint pain has significantly decreased and my mood is so much better! Not to mention I’ve lost several inches from toning and building my core. The instructors and atmosphere at Method are amazing and it is such a positive and uplifting place. Method is like a family and home away from home.

  • I'm a wife, mom of 6 + future DIL, and team leader at UGN. My husband had a heart attack in March and I realized how important it is for us to get back into shape. I had been doing yoga at home since October 2021 but I needed more. In July, a friend of mine asked me to take a spin class with her at Method. I was excited to try the different classes and sauna. Red light therapy is included in the sauna. I had already been looking into the benefits of red light therapy because I have osteogenesis imperfecta. I tried every class that I could fit into my schedule in order to determine what I liked the best. Pilates is my favorite. I enjoy stretching and strengthening my muscles, which is also good for my bones. I take a mixture of classes depending on what time of day fits into my schedule. My husband and I participated in the date night, which I highly recommend. I love the relaxing vibe at Method. My favorite thing has been seeing the changes in my body, confidence and stress level. The sauna is my place to relax. My workout is my time to think about nothing except becoming stronger and healthier. Method has given me a place to just be me, enhance myself and get healthier for my family.

  • I was raised as a military child, and have enjoyed living in a variety of places. Now along with my family we enjoy our home in Kentucky. I also had the privilege of meeting my amazing husband in this cute little town of Somerset! . I work as an Aesthetician/Nail-Tech at Hannah’s Nail Lounge and Spa, I own a small business called ReynaBeeClayCo, and my husband and I are very active in a local volunteer ministry work! I needed a fitness routine that fit into my schedule, and one that that allows me to take care of my body so that I can stay active in what’s most important to me. . Taking care of my health is something I never want to leave up to chance! One thing I love about Method is that the trainers take a personal interest in YOU! I love taking Pilates, and Spin + Barre classes! Not only do I feel like I’m getting stronger physically, but it also helps me keep mental clarity. I hope you come join me one day, I promise you won’t regret it

    Reyna D.

  • I really enjoy the Barre, Pilates, Pilates Sweat classes at Method, the instructors put so much planning into each class. I use the sauna during winter months which helps with tightness in my muscles and so nice when cold outside. I plan to take spin classes when my outdoor riding is limited to keep me in biking shape. You are part of a community, come check out the classes you will love it. Thanks Michelle and Sarah for making Method a part of the Somerset community!

  • I’ve heard the heaviest weight at the gym is the front door. That might be true at some places but at Method dreading a workout isn’t really part of it for me. Over the years I’ve consistently exercised and tried many different types of exercise. Pilates on the reformer has given the results I’ve been searching for while also being the kindest exercise on my body. It’s allowed me to lengthen and tone while stretching and strengthening rather than bulking. I no longer leave the gym feeling depleted or like I’ve run my body into the ground. Pilates has been so good for me. All of the classes at Method have a place in my workout routine and all serve a different purpose meeting all of my needs. In addition to Pilates classes they have Spin and HIIT for cardio, barre and yoga flow for strength, and the infrared sauna with red light therapy for healing. The sauna is a hidden gem. Method has also created a community where I’ve met many like minded women who care about the health of their minds and bodies. We encourage each other at the gym and I carry that into my day. With class times ranging from very early to later in the day I can always find a time that works around meeting the needs of my family and my work

  • During COVID, I stopped exercising and just needed to find something I could be consistent with, so I started going to Method in May after a friend’s recommendation. I signed up for my first ever Pilates class. Initially it was a little intimidating, but I continued to attend classes and I’m so glad I did. The instructors provide a different workout each session, so it challenges your body. They are great with modifying movements if needed and correcting your form which I really appreciate. It allows me to get the most out of each session. I can tell a big difference in my core strength as well as flexibility. I have also tried the sauna after my workout. The sauna is such a relaxing environment after completing a session. I am so appreciative of the staff at Method and the clean friendly environment that is provided during each session.

  • I cannot say enough good things about Method! I look forward to every chance I get to step into the studio and challenge myself. I have noticed a huge difference in my body, my mental health, and my mental ability to be able to push myself past my edge (even though I didn’t think it was possible). The mixture of great playlist and constantly changing routines keeps my muscles shaking…in a good way!😉 I always leave feeling so strong and ready to take on my day!

  • I am a busy mom of 3 lovely (and ACTIVE) children. Prior to COVID-19, I was in the best shape of my life and I had given up all forms of sugar completely. I was sleeping well and getting regular exercise. Enter COVID-19 and my job was able to move to telehealth. I always thought working from home would be fun but I quickly realized that I was not a fan- no one should have to look at themselves on a computer screen that much (LOL). I really let myself go and I quit exercising. I let all those sneaky sugars back in to my life (like Doritos and breads) and I was back to not sleeping. I had packed some of the weight back on and I could not seem to find the motivation to get back to exercising. A friend posted on Facebook that she had been going to Pilates for several months (with her results being AMAZING) and I was immediately intrigued so I emailed Michelle to find out more. I was able to get one starter class for free and I knew immediately that I was hooked! Method is so very welcoming to their people and really are here to truly help. My favorite class is the Pilates Reform class and I have recently started to branch out into the Pilates Sweat class. I also really enjoy sitting in the sauna and being able to relax after a fun Pilates session. My goal for the new year is to try all the classes at Method so I can really focus on myself again!
